建设社会主义新农村是党的十六届五中全会提出的历史性任务,是统筹城乡发展的战略决策。新余市渝水区作为农业大区,在农业生产、农村基础设施、农民生活水平等方面部具备推进新农村建设的条件.特别是在全国率先推出的“连片创建文明村”模式.为新农村建设提供了可供借鉴的经验。如今,渝水区在全面建设新农村的工作中,正紧扣“生产发展、生活宽裕、乡风文明、村容整洁、管理民主”的要求,力求进一步突出特色,扩大新农村建设成果。
Building a New Socialist Countryside is a historic task put forward by the Fifth Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee and a strategic decision for coordinating the urban and rural development. As an agricultural area, Yushu District of Xinyu City possesses the conditions for promoting the construction of new rural areas in areas such as agricultural production, rural infrastructures and peasants’ living standards, especially the model of “contiguous creation of civilized villages” that was first introduced in China. The new rural construction provides a reference for the experience. Nowadays, in the process of building a new countryside in an all-round way, the Yushui District is pressing ahead with the requirements of “promoting development in production, affluent life, civilized rural areas, clean and tidy villages and democratic management” and endeavored to further highlight the characteristics and expand the achievements in new rural construction .
