古人读书时爱在书中夹些香草,故有“书香”之说。而梁实秋先生则在他的读书札记中直白:书香,乃油墨之味也。一言道破天机。世上之书,浩若天上繁星,读书之味,可谓甜、酸、苦、辣、咸五味俱全。书既可以授业解惑,亦可以娱乐消闲,各取所需罢了。譬如我家,老父爱吟宋词、元曲,我爱读中外名著,儿子爱翻卡通画,互不干扰,自得书乐。
