The United States has developed two flat-plate solar collectors without a heat pipe. One of them, the rotating heat absorbing plate is a blackened aluminum plate, and the air is sent into the heat absorbing box to absorb the solar heat energy by a fan. The cover glass cover on the heat absorption box allows the temperature of the air to reach 56°C in both winter and summer. It is used for air conditioning in rooms. It was invented by R. Brin and T. Pace of the Sandia Institute and patented. The other, developed by Caltech, is a heat collector that is not very well-arranged, but it is a very effective collector. It absorbs heat by directly spraying the liquid on the lower surface of the heat absorbing plate, then accumulates in the tank and pumps it.
