1956年,中国科学技术情报研究所成立,标志着我国现代情报工作的开始,30年来,历尽坎坷,在不断变革中逐渐成长,以其对科技进步和社会发展的重要贡献,得到了社会的普遍尊重。情报科学,作为一门综合性的新兴学科,也从此独立于众学科之林。但也应该看到,近三十年来,由于各个领域科学技术的深刻变化,而飞速进步的科学技术又以前所未有的速度直接转化为生产力,带来社会生产的飞跃,使人类社会开始进入了信息情报社会,或者说大量生产、交流和利用信息情报的社会。社会的信息情报需求随之发生了革命性的转变。
In 1956, the founding of the China Science and Technology Intelligence Institute marked the start of the modern intelligence work in our country.
