HIV 是AIDS 的病源,其特性之一是专门感染表达胞膜CD_4分子的细胞,有报道认为,细胞膜上的CD_4分子是HIV受体。但近来发现有些HIV 感染的细胞不表达可测出的CD_4糖蛋白,因此对HIV 受体的本质还需进一步研究。本文报道,人淋巴母细胞样B 细胞株(Gupta)和人胶质细胞株(HEB)均无可测出的细胞表面CD_4,但它们可以被HIV 感染。令人感兴趣的是Gupta 和HEB 细胞感染HIV 后无合胞体产生,而产生合胞体是CD_4高表达细胞感染HIV 的公认特
HIV is a source of AIDS. One of the characteristics of HIV is that it specifically infects cells expressing the membrane CD_4 molecule. It has been reported that the CD_4 molecule on the cell membrane is an HIV receptor. Recently, however, it has been found that some HIV-infected cells do not express measurable CD_4 glycoproteins and hence the nature of HIV receptors needs further study. Here we report that none of the human lymphoblastoid B cell line (Gupta) and human glial cell line (HEB) have detectable cell surface CD 4, but they can be infected with HIV. Interestingly, Gupta and HEB cells did not produce syncytia after being infected with HIV, whereas syncytiotrophoblasts were recognized by CD_4-overexpressing cells as HIV
