作为高校教育中的一门基础必修课程,高校英语一直发挥着非常重要的作用。然而,随着国际交流日益加强,高校英语教学也面临着更高的要求,尤其是学生的英语应用能力和跨文化交际能力应该更好地适应社会发展和国际交流。高校英语课程作为高校非英语专业本科生的必修课,在人才培养方面起到重要的作用。充分考虑高校英语课程的人文性和工具性,将二者和谐统一的体现在高校英语教学中,是改革高校英语课程体系的方向,也是提高学生语言能力及综合素养的重要途径。
As a basic compulsory course in college education, college English has always played a very important role. However, with the increasing international exchanges, college English teaching is also facing higher requirements. In particular, students’ English proficiency and intercultural communication skills should be better adapted to social development and international exchanges. As a compulsory subject for undergraduates of non-English majors in colleges and universities, college English courses play an important role in personnel training. Taking full account of the humanistic and instrumentalities of English courses in colleges and universities, the harmonious integration of the two in English teaching at colleges and universities is the direction of reforming the college English curriculum system and also an important way to improve students’ language ability and comprehensive literacy.
