A Japanese research group recently published in the journal Nature - Communications magazine that they found that gout was not only a result of a decrease in renal excretion of uric acid, but also a reduction in uric acid excretion in the intestine. Gout is due to increased synthesis of purine metabolism, excessive uric acid production or due to poor uric acid excretion caused by elevated uric acid in the blood, sustained in the state of hyperuricemia, gout can cause severe joint pain.
