中国土壤学会第五次代表大会暨1983年学术年会在各方面的支持下,经过一段时间的紧张筹备,今天胜利召开了.陕西省土壤学会第四次代表大会也同时召开.这是一次规模空前、代表人数最多的大会.这次大会是在党的十二大提出全面开创建设社会主义现代化新局面,以及胡耀邦总书记号召植树种草建设大西北的新形势下召开的,会议地点又选在祖国西北的历史名城——西安,意义特别重大.今天正值本会成立三十八周年的前夕,回顾1945年第一次土壤学会代表大会时,会员仅58人,工作内容只有土壤调查、理化分析和肥料试验三个方面.建会以来,特别是全国解放以后,土壤科学事业在党的领导和关怀下,随着国家建设事业的发展而迅速发展,到这次大会召开时,我们的会员已近七千人,研究领域也有了很大的扩展,学科分支已增加到十几个.土壤研究工作
With the support of all quarters, the Fifth Congress of Soil Society of China and 1983 Academic Annual Meeting took a victory today after a period of intense preparations. The Fourth Congress of Soil Society of Shaanxi Province was also held at the same time.
