1990年5月16日,我陪同江泽民总书记到海南的洋浦开发区视察。总书记说:党中央,国务院支持洋浦的成片开发。引进外资成片开发,纯属商业行为,不存在损害中国主权问题。这些讲话,给广大干部和群众以极大鼓舞。一年前,由于海南对洋浦的开发,采取土地使用权有偿出让,成片开发,综合补偿的模式,消息一传出,有那么5个人,不了解情况,在庄严的讲台上,大声喊叫,说什么“在即将收回香港澳门的时候,竟然又要将本国大块土地租借外国人,是引狼入室,开门揖盗,中华民族之尊严将何以维持!”有一家晚报,也发了一篇“开门不要揖盗”的评论,严厉责问:“这首先是个国土主权与民族尊严的问题。这意味着把儿子小一辈的幸福抵押给外国人,我们怎能忍心做出这祸延子孙的事情呢?我至今还不相信在建国四十年的时候将会出现这样的耻辱。而如果竟然有这等事,那末,借‘开放’之名而干这类丧权辱国之事的人一定会被钉上历史的耻辱柱上而受人唾骂,那是一定的!”这些不顾事实的议论,竟然也
