针对塔里木沙漠环境条件，对沙漠钻机绞车电磁涡流刹车的冷却水出口和进入到自然冷却水箱之间，设计了１台空冷器装置，从而减少了电磁涡流刹车转子过热所引起膨胀、烧坏线圈等事故发生，增大了绞车刹车的制动力矩。文章从工作原理分析中，提出关键部件的设计、制造事宜。现场使用表明，该装置运行可靠，具有明显的冷却效果。它不仅是沙漠钻机的必备设备之一，同时，对其他地域的陆地钻机也非常适用，值得推广使用
