随着板形自动控制理论的不断发展、完善,改进板形的措施亦不断增多。近几年发展的液压正负弯辊和热态调节系统已不能满足连续轧制程序控制的有效调节。最近西德西马克公司和蒂森厂合作开发的连续可变凸度控制是较为理想的板形自动控制技术。它有两种形式:一种为轧机工作辊传动,工作辊直径大、工作辊弯曲,因此仅控制工作辊轴向移动,简称CVC。另一种为适应冷轧机的进一步发展,冷轧机工作辊直径趋于减小,支承辊传动,工作辊弯曲,因此不仅控制工作辊轴向移动,而且要控制工作辊沿轧制方向水平移动——即HVC技术。目前冷轧机多为第一种型式——CVC技术。
