改革开放给出版社带来生机、活力,然而有的出版社却因图书订数的下降始终摆脱不了困境。究其原因可能是多方面的,但其中重要的一条是这些出版社在改革中缺乏战略眼光,出现了某些“短期效应”。所谓“短期效应”是指一些只顾眼前利益,不考虑长远利益;或只顾出版社的经济效益,不顾出版工作的社会效益的短期行为。本文试列举数种体现出版社“短期效应”的做法并分析其危害性。 1.作者包销图书。由于图书订数的一再下降,某些出版社考虑到自己经济上的承受能力而规定了图书的起印点。如果从书稿的取舍从严把关,或鼓励作者利用工作之便参
Reform and opening up have brought vigor and vitality to publishers. However, some publishers have been unable to get out of their predicament because of the decline in the number of books. The reasons may be manifold, but one of the important ones is that these publishers lacked a strategic perspective in the reform and some “short-term effects” have emerged. The so-called “short-term effect” refers to short-term behavior that takes into account the immediate interests without regard to the long-term interests; or the economic benefits of publishing houses, regardless of the social benefits of publishing work. This article attempts to enumerate several examples that reflect the “short-term effect” of publishers and analyze their dangers. 1. The author underwrites books. Due to the declining number of books, some publishers set the starting point for books in consideration of their financial affordability. If the manuscript from the strict selection, or encourage the use of the work of the author’s reference
