据观察,斯里兰卡橡胶研究所二十年来所进行的橡胶人工授粉,结实率日趋下降。虽然自交不稔和不亲和性可能是座果率低的一个原因,但已知或未知的其他遗传和生理因子也会影响多种植物的花粉发芽和发芽花粉管的生长。橡胶花粉发芽不良,可能是座果少的一个因素。本试验根据前人的研究,试图进而弄清楚钙和硼对离体花粉发芽和花粉管生长的影响。
It has been observed that artificial rubber pollination carried out by the Institute of Rubber Research in Sri Lanka for two decades has seen a decrease in the rate of seed setting. Although self-pollination and incompatibility may be a cause of low fruit set rate, other genetic and physiological factors, known or unknown, also affect the pollen germination and germination of the pollen tube of many plants. Poor germination of rubber pollen may be a factor in fewer fruit sets. Based on previous studies, this experiment attempts to clarify the effects of calcium and boron on in vitro pollen germination and pollen tube growth.
