With the approval of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Norplant will soon emerge and U.S. doctors offer patients an alternative method of contraception. Norplant is valid for up to 5 years, slowing the release of low doses of hormones into the blood stream with few serious side effects. In addition, this contraceptive method does not require women to worry about. Almost all physicians studying Norplant spoke highly of their safety and efficacy.
