(1) The electricity consumption of the whole society continued to decline year-on-year, and the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry and the residents maintained a rapid growth. The electricity consumption in the whole country was 3.2828 trillion kW.h, an increase of 5.1% over the same period of last year, a deceleration of 6.8 percentage points from the same period of 2011 . In terms of industries, the electricity consumption of the primary industry decreased by 0.6% over the same period of last year; that of the secondary industry increased by 3.2% over the same period of last year; that of the tertiary industry increased by 11.7% over the same period of last year; that of urban and rural residents increased by 12.1% over the same period of previous year. In terms of regions, the provinces with a 10% increase in electricity consumption over the same period of the previous year were: Xinjiang (30.2%), Hainan (13.1%), Anhui (11.2%), Guizhou
