云光14号是由云南省农科院粮作所选育的优质高产超级两系杂交稻品种,该品种在云南省1400米海拔的籼粳交错区和籼稻区种植,四个区域试验点1998、1999两年的平均产量达748.6公斤,比对照种籼优63平均亩增18.52公斤,增幅达18.81%。各点产量变幅不大,较为稳定。米质经云南农科院测试中心分析达部颁一、二级标准,属优质米。该品种株型紧凑,
YunGuang 14 is a high-yielding two-line hybrid rice of high quality selected by Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The variety is planted in the indica-japonica crisscross region and the indica rice region at an elevation of 1400 meters in Yunnan Province.
