社会语言学打破了语言学界历来只注重研究语言形式的传统,着重从语言与社会诸因素之间的相互关系来研究语言及其运用的规律。这种研究方式对外语教学产生了很大影响,特别是学生交际能力的培养和通过文化和语篇进行教学等。文章首先简略论述了社会语言学的基本理论和方法,然后讨论受其影响发展起来的交际教学法、文化教学法、语篇教学法及专门化教学法。
Sociolinguistics has broken the tradition that the linguistics community has traditionally focused only on the study of linguistic forms, focusing on the study of the laws of language and its application from the interrelationship between various factors of language and society. This research method has had a great influence on foreign language teaching, especially the cultivation of students’ communicative competence and teaching through culture and discourse. The article briefly discusses the basic theories and methods of sociolinguistics, and then discusses the communicative approach, cultural approach, discourse approach, and specialized pedagogy developed under its influence.
