本文试图提供一些标志,以资验证外语界学术研究的一个新的阶段是否真的到来。它们可能是:具有创新意识、理论意识和学派意识,在研究上应有科学的研究方法支撑,外语刊物鼓励支持原创性论文。文章对这几个标志进行了理论上的论证与阐述;分析了没有学派、流派的学术领域的落后状态;尤其是联系外语界学术研究的实际情形,对下面几个现象进行了讨论:爱理论,却藐视体系;爱事实真理,拒斥形式真理;爱记录句子,拒斥猜想句子;爱归纳推理,拒斥数理逻辑与演绎推理。
