2009年11月12日—13日,中国翻译协会第六次会员代表大会暨新中国翻译事业60年论坛在北京中苑宾馆隆重举行。来自全国翻译界的300多名会员代表出席会议。大会开幕式由中国译协会长刘习良主持,前国务委员唐家璇,国务院新闻办公室主任王晨先后致词,中国译协副会长黄友义宣读了国际译联贺词。大会选举产生了第六届中国译协常务理事会和新一届中国译协领导机构,全国人大外事委员会主任、外交部原部长李肇星当选为中国翻译协会会长。
From November 12 to November 13, 2009, the Sixth China Translator Association’s Sixth Member Congress and the New China Translation 60 Years Forum were held in Beijing Zhongyuan Hotel. More than 300 member representatives from the national translation community attended the conference. The opening ceremony was presided over by Liu Xiuliang, president of China Association of Translators, and former State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan and Wang Chen, director of the Information Office of the State Council, made speeches successively. The sixth session of the Standing Committee of Chinese Translators Association and the new leading agency for Chinese translators, the director of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Li Zhaoxing were elected as the president of China Translation Association.
