This article summarized the recent progress of Salvia miltiorrhiza injection research from the aspects of preparation process, quality standards, pharmacological research and clinical application of Salvia miltiorrhiza injection. The pharmacological effects of Salvia miltiorrhiza injection and expanding the scope of clinical application were especially introduced.
