In response to the country’s basic national policy of conserving resources and protecting the environment, CNOOC Tianjin Branch adhered to the concept of energy saving, carbon reduction and green sustainable development. Combined with the actual situation, the oil development model in the Bohai Sea area has been independently developed and supported by the earlier Development and development to today’s regional development model. The company believes that controlling the energy consumption of new projects from the source is an important task for energy conservation and carbon reduction. In 2015, the company’s newly commissioned M oilfield fully coordinated the regional energy allocation. From the demonstration analysis of the site selection to the optimal determination of the technical solution, each step compares the influencing factors and finally determines the current construction plan. The process flow of production process, through the use of inter-regional power grid, waste heat recovery, comprehensive utilization of associated gas, intensive ship deployment, seawater desalination and other measures to achieve inter-regional oil, gas, water, electricity and facilities mutual use and mutual support. The newly-built project adopts a regionalized development and production model, which can not only achieve the sharing of resources and facilities, improve the efficiency of resource utilization, and rationally allocate energy, but also maximize the economic benefits of oil and gas fields in the region. After the completion of the M oilfield, its carbon emission intensity is 39% lower than that of the N oilfield developed in the same sea area, with the nature of the oil product, and independently developed by the oil recovery method.
