鲁迅美院副院长李福来教授在其为《美术设计师手册》所写的代序《责任与使命》一文中,有这样一段话:“起步于工业革命,升华在信息时代,设计在不断完善自身概念的同时确立了其历史地位,设计师也以时代骄子的面貌从画家、工程师、工艺美术师等传统形象群体内脱颖而出。当今社会已不存在脱离造型,包装设计的产品功能;不存在脱离展示环境、宣传方式的艺术作品;不存在没有规划的城市;也不存在不重视设计的发达国家。不懂、不信或不顺从这一规律只能竞争中落伍。
