在国务院召开的1994年全国水利工作会议上,江苏省水利厅被水利部授予1994年度“全国水利先进单位”称号,并颁给证书、奖状和奖金.这是我省参加水利建设的广大群众和水利系统全体干工艰苦奋斗、辛勤劳动、努力工作的结果.1994年度我省治淮治太工程全面推进,部分工程完成了阶段性治理任务.至4月底,治淮工程的洪泽湖大堤加固、入江水道加固和分淮入沂续建工程已基本完成,累计完成投资2.2亿元;治太工程的望虞河、太浦河、环太湖大堤加固、武澄锡引排、湖西引排五项骨干工程,已累计完成投资4.4亿元;沂沭泗洪水东调南下工程、怀洪新河工程也起步实施。
