一 马克斯·韦伯(Max Weberl864—1920)出生于德国图林根的爱尔富特,是当代伟大的社会学家和比较宗教学家。其主要著作有:《新教伦理与资本主义的精神》(1905)、《经济和社会》(1909—1920)、《世界经济通史》(1923)、《宗教社会学》(1920)等.其代表性研究即是探讨基督教改革后的伦理思想与资本主义精神之间的内在联系,并进而研究世界各地宗教中所包含经济伦理状况及其基本精神取向。他所得出的结论在众多人文科学领域产生了极大的影响,他的思维进路被广泛借鉴,引用和比附。所以,韦伯学说一经问世就产生了极大的轰动,使社会学在某种程度上进人了“韦伯时代”。人们可以赞同韦伯,也可以反对韦伯,但无论如何却不能漠视韦伯。 韦位学说真正进入中国大陆是八十年代中后期的事情。《新教伦理与资本主义的精神》这一经典名著的节译本(收入金观涛主编的“走向未来丛书”)的出版更加推动了“韦伯热”的形成。然而,这一时期人们大多是未经深入思考和分析就简单地接受了韦伯学说,并把韦伯对儒学和道教所下的结论直接作为抨击传统文化的利器加以使用,一时间产生了很大的影响,政论片《河殇》即为其代表者。而在这同时和稍早一些,海外的中国学者结合世界韦伯学研究成果对韦伯学说作了深刻的反思并在韦伯命题的?
