我省甘薯分布,辽南以庄河、新金、金县較多,西部以兴城、綏中、黑山、义县、朝阳、北票等地較多。80％以上分布在貧瘠的砂地和山坡地上,粪肥不足,耕作粗放。今年我省自然气候对甘薯生产极为不利。早春干旱,影响早栽保苗,夏季少雨,影响蔓叶正常生长,8、9月份正是甘薯块根肥大期,部分地区又遭到了严重秋旱。在各个生育期都受到了不同程度干旱的威胁,严重地影响了甘薯产量的提高。西部以阜新地区为例,5～7月份降雨量157.5毫米,比1964年同期降
