本研究在基于使用的语言学习的理论框架下调查句法可选择性和类型频率对英语反身动词构式习得的影响。英语反身动词的句法结构可以通过反身构式和形容词被动构式实现,两者是一种词内多义关系,表现出句法可选择性特征。为了考察句法可选择性和类型频率对反身动词构式习得的影响,本研究设计反身动词构式测试和及物动词测试,后者作为参照测试,并在二语学习者中进行检测。研究结果表明:1)英语反身动词构式的习得明显低于参照测试,证明句法可选择性影响句法的习得;2)反身构式和形容词被动构式习得之间无显著差异,然而初步数据显示,学习者似乎更易于习得形容词被动构式;3)二语学习者的反身构式和形容词被动构式的产出频率与COCA的类型频率走向一致,表明类型频率在复杂构式习得中的重要作用。
This study investigates the effect of syntactic selectivity and type frequency on the constructivism of English reflexive verbs in the framework of the language-based learning. The syntactic structure of English reflexive verbs can be realized through the passive construction of the reflexive structure and the adjective. Both of them are a kind of polysemic relations in the words, showing the optional features of the syntax. In order to investigate the effect of syntactic selectivity and type frequency on the constructions of reflexive verbs, this study designed the constructivistic and transitive verb tests, which were used as reference tests and tested among second language learners. The results show that: 1) Acquisition of English reflexive verb structure is significantly lower than the reference test, which proves that syntactic can selectively affect the acquisition of syntax; 2) There is no significant difference between the passive body building and the adulteration; Preliminary data show that learners seem to be more likely to acquire passive constructions of adjectives; 3) Second-generation learners’ reflexive constructions and adjective passive constructions have the same frequency of outputs as COCA types, indicating that the type frequencies in complex constructs The important role of learning.
