我省落实了甘蔗经济政策,实行粮蔗挂勾办法,调动了广大蔗农生产积极性,从1976年开始,甘蔗年年增产,从1976年起,逐年分别比上一年增长79%、29%、24%和9%。为糖厂提供了充足的原料。建国以来,我省制糖工业发展较快,1966年以前,先后建设了一批糖厂,1966/69年榨季,全省产糖量高达18.7万吨,1967年以后经历了十年浩劫,糖厂发展停滞,甘蔗生产下降,产糖量大幅度减少。粉碎“四人帮”以后,蔗糖生产迅速恢复和发展。
