纪录片《恐龙星球》讲述了地球上已经灭绝的生物-恐龙的故事。但是在时态选择上,却大量使用一般现在时。对于地球上已经灭绝生物的描述,为什么不通篇采用过去时态呢?笔者根据字幕文本的分析,发现该片英语时态表达的动机源于叙述者的“心理时间”的构建和纪录片的语用功能两个方面。“心理时间”的构建,使感受者脱离客观的自然时间,跟随叙述者进入到“真实”的“恐龙时代”。而纪录片纪实的特征,客观上要求叙述者在“自然时间”的框架下,对事实进行陈述。
The documentary “Dinosaur Planet” tells the story of an extinct creature on Earth, a dinosaur. However, in tense choice, it uses massively nowadays. According to the analysis of subtitle texts, the author finds that the motivation for the temporal expression of English in the film stems from the construction of the “psychological time” of the narrator and that of the documentary Pragmatic function of two aspects. “Psychological time ” building, so that the sensible person from the objective natural time, follow the narrator into the “real ” “dinosaur age ”. The documentary documentary features objectively require the narrator to state the facts under the framework of “natural time ”.
