为了满足甘薯加工业对高淀粉品种的需求,我们从52-45与栗子香杂交后代中选育出了高淀粉工业用品种淮薯3号。1982年,经江苏省农作物品种审定委员会审定通过,列为推广品种。 主要特征特性 淮薯3号的顶叶、叶片、叶脉和茎蔓均为绿色,叶心脏形,蔓长中等,单株分枝数9～11个,薯皮浅红色,肉色淡黄,单株结薯数3～4个,具有干物率高、薯干和淀粉产量高、品质好、早熟和抗根腐病、黑斑病较强等特点。
