由于我国与大多数国家没有签订引渡协议,近年来,一些贪官外逃到海外,利用我国与他国法律不对接的空子,拿着人民的血汗钱堂而皇之地过着奢华的生活。对此,我国法律只有望洋兴叹。2003年9月29日,全国人大学委会批准我国加入《联合国打击跨国有组织犯罪公约》,这无疑给那些外逃贪官敲响了丧钟。而在2003年年底提交联大通过的《联合国反腐政公约》,将对外逃贪官给予毁灭性打击!
Since China has not signed an agreement on extradition with most countries, in recent years some corrupt officials have fled to overseas countries and took advantage of the irrational gap between our country and the laws of other countries to live luxurious life with hard-earned money of the people. In this regard, our law is only hopeless. On September 29, 2003, the NPC Standing Committee approved China's accession to the UN Convention on Transnational Organized Crime. This undoubtedly sounded the death knell for those who fleeing corrupt officials. At the end of 2003, the “UN Anti-Corruption Convention” passed by the UN General Assembly will give a devastating blow to the corrupt officials who flee to the outside world!
