依照惯例,报刊的献辞必在新春伊始之际,虽有趋“万象更新”大吉之隐义,却也着实有一番宏旨洋溢。如今,惯例实在革除了不少,就是新春献辞也不再俯拾皆是,但若要恭维这是改革的成效,未免有些附会。本刊将新春献辞变换为岁末寄语,既非护卫传统,也不是除旧布新,仅仅是因为本刊双月末出版,新春献辞反倒不新,岁“末”寄语展现在读者眼前时恰好为新年之“首”,如是而已。
