Integrated drilling systems incorporate the full benefits of modern computer technology in terms of management, control, and process automation, and allow for the interlocking of machinery, instrumentation and data recording automation with a human interface device. In this system, the machine on the drill floor is controlled by a computer. Using the computer network, a variety of functions can be coordinated at the same time. Fully automatic remote control operation in the control center allows the operator to leave the rig and increase the safety of drilling operations.
