This article discusses the status quo and characteristics of the pharmaceutical industry and the pharmaceutical market during the “Eighth Five-Year Plan” in China and briefly introduces the goals and steps of the Ninth Five-Year Plan and the pharmaceutical industry in China in the 21st century.
