本刊讯1995年6月 8日,“蔡冠深中国科学院院士荣誉基金会”成立并颁发首次院士荣誉奖金。香港青年企业家蔡冠深先生,出于对祖国科学事业的关心和对中国科学院院士的敬佩,本着发扬敬老尊贤的民族传统精神,在中国科学院领导的大力支持下,他捐资600万元创办了“蔡冠深中国科学院院士荣誉基金会”。获得首次院士荣誉奖金的90岁以上院士有16人,每人获奖金12000元;80-89岁院士有99人,每人获奖金6000元。
On August 8, 1995, “CAI Guan-shu Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Foundation of Honor” was established and awarded the first academician honorary prize. Mr. Cai Guan Shen, a young entrepreneur in Hong Kong, out of concern for the scientific cause of the motherland and admiration for the academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with the great support of the leadership of the Chinese Academy of Sciences under the traditional national spirit of promoting respect for the elderly, “Cai Guan Shen Honor Foundation of Chinese Academy of Sciences.” There are 16 academicians over the age of 90 who receive the first academician honor prize, each won a prize of 12,000 yuan, and there are 99 academicians of 80-89 years old, each won a prize of 6,000 yuan.
