驰名京华的京剧四小名旦之一梅派传人李世芳，是山西太谷县朝阳村人，生于梨园世家。其父李子健，艺名“红牡丹”，又名“独儿旦”，是山西梆子的著名旦角演员，以《凤台关》等剧目名扬国内外。其母李翠芬，由河北梆子改唱山西梆子旦角，解放后在省艺校担任教师。在父母的熏陶下，李世芳聪颖好学，极善模仿，自小就显露出很高的表演才华。后随其父辗转至天津，在春和戏院亲眼目睹了梅兰芳主演的《洛神》，为之倾倒遂对京剧产生了浓厚的兴趣。他常揣摩模仿梅先生的表演动作，如醉如痴。其父窃喜。由于育子心切，全家于１９２９年迁北平，３年后，李世芳进入叶龙章任社长的“富连成科班”学艺。他入班为第五科“世”字辈，始更名为“世芳”学青衣门。 Renowned Jinghua Peking opera one of the four famous star Mei sent Li Shifang, is the Chaoyang village in Taigu County, Shanxi Province, was born in Liyuan family.
