Researchers from all over the world gathered at the University of Michigan in May 1982 to attend the 12th Annual North American Association of Manufacturing Research Societies. About 60 technical papers on metal forming, metal cutting and manufacturing systems were discussed at the meeting. The following is a summary of several of them. 1.
