MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of small, non-coding RNAs about 19 to 22 nucleotides in length. Recent studies have shown that microRNAs in different tissues of patients with type 2 diabetes are differentially expressed and regulated by their regulation of target genes It is widely involved in the development of diabetes and plays an important role in the process of insulin secretion, pancreatic β-cell development, glucose metabolism, fat metabolism and inflammation. This article summarizes the differential expression of microRNAs in different tissues (pancreas, adipose and skeletal muscle) and body fluids (serum, plasma, etc.) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus. In order to evaluate the correctness of microRNAs in type 2 diabetes mellitus Diagnosis, treatment and prognostic monitoring of clinical value to provide a scientific theoretical basis.
