集越野、旅游、探险于一身的汽车越野运动不仅仅是一种时尚与潮流,更是当今人们对开拓进取、回归自然等人性精神的一种渴望与尝试。正因为如此,1999年5月16日举行发车式的“保标杯越野者雪域大漠行”的活动,在没怎么做太多宣传的情况下就有近千人打来咨询电话,在全国引起较大反响。经过筛选,最后有20多人、9辆车越野车有幸成行。勇士们从北京居庸关长城出发,将历经八省市自治区的拉萨、珠穆郎玛峰、阿里无人区、塔克拉玛
