已研制出一种用于网络系统的并行处理模拟器NEWTS。这台模拟器由多个微处理机构成,这些微机通过分级的公用母线相互连接且并行地执行模拟程序。这台模拟器的造价远比采用一台大型通用计算机便宜,但却能进行有效和高速的网络模拟。这台模拟器已经应用于一个电话网络模型,且其实用性已得到证实。本文对NEWTS的硬件和软件作一概述。
A new parallel processing simulator NEWTS for network systems has been developed. This simulator consists of several microprocessors, which are connected to each other by hierarchical public buses and execute simulation programs in parallel. The simulator is far cheaper than using a large general purpose computer, but it can perform efficient and speedy network simulations. This simulator has been applied to a telephone network model, and its practicality has been confirmed. This article gives an overview of NEWTS hardware and software.
