Objective: To observe the clinical effect of closed reduction and percutaneous pin fixation on supracondylar fracture of humerus in children. Methods: 83 cases of supracondylar fractures of humerus were treated with closed reduction and percutaneous pin fixation. Results: All the fractures were healed in 83 patients. No Volkmann contracture, ulnar nerve injury and postoperative dislocation were found. Two cases had cubitus varus. All patients with no infection of the pinhole, 3 to 6 weeks after the X-ray showed fracture were healed, remove the Kirschner wire to start elbow functional exercise. Elderly patients with elbow dysfunction 64 cases, accounting for 77.1%; good in 17 cases, accounting for 20.5%; 2 cases, accounting for 2.4%. Conclusion: Closed reduction and percutaneous pin fixation of supracondylar humerus fractures have a significant clinical effect.
