发展先进生产力是推动历史前进的决定性因素。改革开放以来,我们国家之所以能够取得举世瞩目的伟大成就,其中一条重要经验就是用发展的办法解决前进中的问题,抓住一切机遇加快发展。党的十六大继往开来,进一步明确把发展作为党执政兴国的第一要务,强调要聚精会神搞建设,一心一意谋发展。科技界在学习贯彻十六大精神中,要进一步增强时代责任感和历史使命感,身体力行地实践“三个代表”重要思想,把思想和认识统一到十六大报告精神上来,把智慧和力量凝聚到实现十六大提出的任务上来。
