曾经在日本配合移动运营商NTTDoCoMo推动FoMA业务发展的松下公司,携其与日本运营商长期合作3G业务的丰富经验来到中国,本着“开展受所在国欢迎的事业,从事扎根于当地的事业活动”的基本方针,以及“以客户为主体”的精神,开始全方位地推进其在华的业务。正如松下移动通信株式会社的董事、国际本部长广木智三先生在目前于北京召开的“3G在中国”2003全球峰会上接受记者采访时所说,“我们认为中国的3G市场潜力巨大,中国对于松下是一个很大的机会。”显然,进入中国3G市场,已成为松下的重要战略目标。
