据报导:美帝最近研制了一种新型激光测距跟踪系统LRTS(Laser Ranging andTracking System之缩写),并于1975年4月15日在白沙导弹靶场进行了跟踪测距试验。已完成的这种LRTS系统还只是一个初始试验原型(见图),它是为评定导弹在发射初始段,因雷达受地面回波干扰而影响获得目标飞行数据时,用激光自动测距跟踪系统来获得高性能导弹精密实时轨迹数据的可能性而设计的。
