CO2 emissions have become the focus of global environmental research. In recent years, relevant government and researchers have also begun to attach importance to the impact of tourism on the global environmental change. Understanding the relationship between tourism activities and CO2 emissions and analyzing the main factors and causes affecting CO2 emissions in tourism activities are of great significance to the green development of tourism industry. Using SPSS software to analyze the correlation between per capita consumption of inbound tourism and tertiary industry in 1980-2002. The results show that the per capita consumption of inbound tourism in China is significantly correlated with that of the tertiary industry, and the quadratic equation can show the relationship between the per capita consumption of China’s inbound tourism and that of the tertiary industry over the past 20 years. The right half of the curve shows that as the per capita consumption level of inbound tourists increases, the impact on carbon emissions begins to increase slowly and then increases at an accelerating pace. This can well reflect that there still exists a gap between China’s tourism development and environmental protection More prominent contradictions, to achieve the coordinated development of the two phases is still a long process; in the consumption of inbound tourists, per capita transport, food, accommodation and other consumer and China’s tertiary industry are related to carbon emissions, and China The most relevant factor for the three industries is traffic consumption, followed by catering consumption, while the smaller one is accommodation consumption; the per capita consumption level, consumption structure and consumption activities of inbound tourists all affect carbon emissions in transportation, catering and accommodation Key factor. Based on the analysis of its causes, this paper puts forward some suggestions on the future green tourism development in our country and the reduction of carbon emissions.
