作为非言语交际行为手段之一的“沉默”是自然会话的显著特征之一.它是交际中普遍存在的现象,蕴涵着丰富的社会内容.然而综观国内外对“沉默”的研究,大多数集中于对沉默的一般语用功能及其跨文化差异性方面的探讨.至于沉默与礼貌的内在联系,研究甚少.在此结合Leech的“礼貌原则”,从沉默与礼貌原则各个准则的关系的角度来分析沉默与礼貌的内在联系.
