应美国麻省艺术学院、华盛顿哈沃德大学和洛杉矶艺术设计学院的邀请,中央工艺美术学院赴美访问团一行8人,对美国进行了一次从西海岸到东海岸,又从东海岸到西海岸的访问。这次访问的特点有以下几方面:第一,这次出访突出了现职的中青年学科带头人以及未曾出访或较少出访的有关教师,访问团成员有基础部、史论系、工业系、装璜系、染服系的主任或副主任,以及对方主动邀请的院长和袁运甫教授,加上外办的张世川同志。第二,除了我和袁运甫教授外,都是40岁以上,55岁以下的中青年教师,对外显示了我院年轻一代专业骨干队伍的形成。我每到一个地方都自豪地主动介绍他们。第三,在本世纪末的这次出访为21世纪对外扩大开放奠定了基础,做了一次铺路。第四,三所学校先后发出邀请,促成这次横跨美国的五校访问,这显示了近几年来在院外办的积极配合下,学院开展国际美术交流的成果。由此看来,我们日常的外事活动不能忽视,应该做好接待国外专业院校的各项工作。
At the invitation of the Massachusetts Institute of the Arts, Washington University in Haworth and the Los Angeles College of Art and Design, the visiting delegation of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts went to the United States for a delegation of eight people. They conducted a mission to the United States from the West Coast to the East Coast and from the East Coast to the West Coast access. The visit has the following characteristics: First, this visit highlights young and middle-ranking academic leaders as well as teachers who have not visited or visited fewer places. The delegation includes the Ministry of Basic Studies, the History Department, the Department of Industrial Science, Decoration department, director or deputy director of dyed clothing department, and the president and professor Yuan Yunfu voluntarily invited by the other party, together with Comrade Zhang Shichuan, the foreign minister. Second, except for Professor Yuan Yunfu and myself, both young and middle-aged teachers over the age of 40 and under 55 show externally the formation of a cadre of young professionals in our college. I take the initiative to introduce them to every place. Thirdly, this visit at the end of this century has laid a foundation and laid a foundation for opening up and opening up to the outside world in the 21st century. Fourthly, the three schools successively issued invitations to facilitate the visit of the five schools spanning the United States. This shows the achievements of the institute in launching international arts exchanges in recent years with the active cooperation of the FUNO. Seen in this light, our daily activities in foreign affairs can not be ignored, and we should do a good job of receiving various kinds of work from foreign professional institutions.
