In April of this year, Ms. Sarah Doherty, of the United States, mounted a specially crafted crutch on one leg and landed on the 20,320-foot Mt McKinley in Alaska. The mountaineering lasted 20 days. Experiencing extremely bad weather: the wind speed of 80 miles per hour, the temperature has been minus 40 degrees. Prior to that, Doherty boarded the 14,210-foot Mount Rainier in Washington State. Doherty is 25 years old this year. 12 years ago lost his right leg due to a car accident. She said she was going to Mount McKinley because she wanted to use her feat to motivate people with physical disabilities so they courageously push forward and work toward their goals.
