Metabolic syndrome(MetS)is a complex pathophysiolo-gical state characterized by obesity,insulin resistance,dys-glycemia,dyslipidemia and hypertension,which con-sequently contributes to coronary heart disease,stroke and other disabilities.The International Diabetes Federation(IDF)estimated that approximately 25％of the world's popu-lation has MetS,with the increased prevalence in the ad-vanced ages[1].
