在全党、全军、全国各族人民和全世界无产阶级、被压迫民族被压迫人民哀悼我们最敬爱的伟大领袖和导师毛泽东主席的日子里,我们湖北省沼气办公室全体同志,手捧毛主席视祭湖北省利用沼气工作时的照片,千言万语表达不尽我们的无限悲痛和深切怀念。我们永远不能忘记伟大领袖毛主席对我省人工制取和利用沼气工作的亲切关怀。当这个新生事物的幼芽刚刚出土的时候,在一九五八年四月十一日,毛主席亲临武汉视察,他老人家看到沼气炉的火光和明亮的沼气灯时,慈祥地微笑着连声赞许,亲切地指示我们:
