RD_2型火车轴是我国铁路机车车辆的关键零件之一。过去一直由铁道部安排组织生产。由于铁道部内的生产能力有限,多年来,不得不花费大量外汇进口火车轴。随着国家建设的发展,我国RD_2火车的年需要量逐年增多。为了既满足我国铁路机车车辆工业发展的急需,又尽快结束长期以来用巨额外汇进口车辆的历史,国家已决定由太原重机厂锻造热处理厂,将水压机车间利用闲置的2500t水压机及其起重和动力设施进行改造,并加装从奥地利GFM公司引进的SHP32型精锻机,增建车轴粗加工工部,形成车轴 RD_2 train axle is one of the key parts of China’s railway rolling stock.
